Web Configurator - blank page when opening in browser

While "Require Login" is enabled, unauthenticated users are supposed to be redirected to the Web Configurator login page, but instead the application returns a blank webpage.

This is a known issue with TopView 7.6 Web Configurator.
Info
This issue has been patched. The patch can be obtained from our v7.6 patch download page or access the Web Configurator patch here.

There are also two workarounds available if patching is not possible:
  • Do not use "Require Login". With the permissions update in 7.6, all resources except for TopView documentation are hidden from unauthenticated users, making the setting mostly redundant.
  • If you want to enable "Require Login" regardless:
    • Disable the setting temporarily
    • Start the application and in an unauthenticated (logged-out) browser navigate to the Login page
    • Bookmark the Login page
    • Re-enable the setting
    • Use the bookmarked login page to log into the application.
