DeltaV OPC Server connection error: Class not registered, error 0x80040154
The above error can occur in TopView 7.0 and later when attempting to connect to the Emerson DeltaV OPC Server (OPC.DeltaV.1)
TopView applications in v7.0 and later are 64-bit, and the DeltaV OPC Server does not allow connections from 64-bit clients.
Resolutions
- Use TopView OPCUA and the DeltaV OPCUA Server
- Use Emerson OPC Data Link which support 64-bit OPC clients
