ClearSCADA connection fails with: "Error: CheckConnectionToServer > error creating group : AddGroup failed with error"

If you receive an error connecting to ClearSCADA with the following error message:

ClearSCADA can be set up to use OPC private security and require credentials for permissions to connect to the server and retrieve tag values.

To connect, provide the OPC alias settings in TopView with the user name and password combination. This can be done in the OPC Server Alias settings:
