End of Email-to-Text and Text-to-Email Services

What is Email-to-Text?

Email-to-Text is the ability to send an email from TopView that is received as a text message by the recipient.

With AT&T, you do this by sending an email from TopView to an email address which is the recipient's 10-digit wireless number, followed by @txt.att.net or @mms.att.net.

What is changing?

Email-to-Text is a free service through AT&T. Over the years we have noticed (through an increased number of support tickets) that these free services from AT&T and others have become unreliable.
On March 25th, 2025, AT&T announced that it will no longer provide this service starting June 17, 2025.

Alternate options for TopView SMS and Messaging

SMS/Text: TopView supports multiple on-prem hardware devices (cellular modems) and one cloud service (Twilio) that can send and receive SMS messages
Messaging: TopView supports messaging platforms such as Teams, WhatsApp, and a very affordable option with Pushover.
